LAW ENFORCEMENT CHARITIES, INC.
Pinellas County Law Enforcement Charities, Inc. (PCLEC) was incorporated in 1999 as a not for profit corporation. The purpose for which the corporation was formed is to operate for the advancement of charitable, benevolent, eleemosynary, educational and amateur athletic purposes by distribution of funds for those purposes. The general purposes for which this corporation was formed are to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, which qualifies PCLEC as an exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3). Pinellas County Law Enforcement Charities, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) corporation and your donations are fully tax deductible. Below is a synopsis of some of the dispersements from PCLEC:

$500 was donated to Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch.

$500 was given to an officer's family to offset some of the expenses of airlifting the officer back to St Pete after he was involved in a major accident out of state.

PCLEC was instrumental in raising over $50,000 for an officer who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, who had a wife and two small children.

In the past two years alone, PCLEC: has reimbursed over $1100 to officers and deputies to help offset their expenses incurred for the Police Olympics.

$250 was given to West Coast PBA’s annual Memorial Golf Tournament.

In the past two years, PCLEC: has distributed over $7500 in scholarships to children of local law enforcement officers.

$500 was donated to a deputy and his family to help offset expenses for his daughter’s make a wish dream trip to Disney World.

$2100 was given to local youth groups.

$1000 was donated to an officer’s family to help offset his funeral expenses.

$500 was donated to Make a Wish Foundation.

$300 was donated to our local Special Olympics competitions.

$1000 was donated to the Police Athletic League.

$500 was donated to MADD to help send an officers child to camp.

$600 was donated to the Criminal Justice Academy.
